The Artistic Process behind Marshland Creative Wood Flower Artistry

Wood Flower Drying Rack with painted flowers in a variety of colors and shades for upcoming wedding by Marshland Creative

Hi there, Lacey here! I am the artist behind the wood flowers here at Marshland Creative and I wanted to give you a little peek behind the curtain into my artistic process.

Wood flowers are amazing for so many reasons:

  • They are naturally sourced from the Aeschynomene Aspera and a species of flowering plant in the family Fabaceae. It is also known by the names sola and shola wood.
  • These flowers are imported by many distributors to the United States where I source my florals in their unpainted form
  • Because of the innate qualities of this natural material, they will never wilt or die and feel similar to dried and/or foam florals
  • Allergen-free
  • Customizable
  • etc. etc. keep going here

Let me walk you through my step-by-step process when creating a wood flower arrangement or bouquet for my clients!

1. considerations , sourcing

2. colors, planning, dying

3. quality control

4. assembly - stemming, foam, moss etc.

5. final details - branding etc.

6. packaging delivering etc.
